Since 2013, I have been documenting the Kaveripattinam Mayana Kollai Festival, an intense and deeply spiritual celebration of devotion and transformation. This series captures the essence of the festival—village life, vibrant traditions, and the powerful rituals honoring Goddess Angalamman.

From the intimate moments inside the temple, where devotees undergo dramatic makeup rituals, to the charged atmosphere outside, where ancient ceremonies unfold in a raw display of faith, this collection offers a rare glimpse into Tamil Nadu’s living heritage. Through these images, I seek to preserve and share the spirit of a tradition that blurs the boundaries between the earthly and the divine.
