For over a decade, Kolkata has drawn me back—first in 2013, then in 2015, 2019, and most recently in 2024. Each visit has deepened my understanding of the city’s rhythm, revealing an ever-changing yet timeless narrative. Through this ongoing body of work, I seek to document Kolkata not just as a place, but as an experience—where history lingers in the air, and the present unfolds in a symphony of light, movement, and emotion.

From the labyrinthine alleys of North Kolkata to the frenetic energy of its bazaars, from the quiet rituals along the Hooghly River to the pulse of its trams and tea stalls, this series captures the city’s contradictions and continuity. Faces etched with stories, fleeting glances exchanged in passing, the dance of shadows in monsoon streets—these are the moments that define Kolkata’s visual poetry.

This collection is not merely an observation; it is an immersion. It is an ode to the resilience, nostalgia, and raw humanity that shape Kolkata’s streets. Through a decade of images, I invite the viewer to witness the city as I have—layered, evocative, and infinitely alive.
